On November 14, 2021, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Zhai Jun attended and addressed Sir Bani Yas Forum 2021 hosted by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation online. Special Envoy Zhai Jun said that China always keeps the Middle Eastern countries and people at heart, is committed to contributing Chinese wisdom to the lasting peace and stability of the region, resolutely supports the just cause of the Palestinian people so as to play its role in resolving conflicts and disputes among regional countries. China welcomes regional countries to support and join the Global Development Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping. China stands ready to deepen strategic communication with regional countries, adheres to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs, and continues to firmly support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests. China will work with the Middle Eastern countries to advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and jointly advance the political settlement of hotspot issues so as to make a positive contribution to the peace, stability and development of the Middle East.
