Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu Attends Virtual Consultation among Vice Foreign Ministers of China, Russia and Mongolia

On August 30, 2022, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu attended a virtual consultation among foreign ministers of China, Russia and Mongolia.

Ma Zhaoxu spoke highly of the progress the three parties have made in political, economic, anti-pandemic and international cooperation and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, among other fields, since the 5th meeting of the three heads of state of China, Russia and Mongolia. He said that the three parties should follow through on the important consensus reached by the three heads of state, actively advance the Mid-term Roadmap for Development of Trilateral Cooperation among China, Russia and Mongolia and the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, explore and foster new growth drivers for trilateral cooperation, and step up coordination and collaboration in international and regional affairs, so as to achieve common development and revitalization of the three countries.

Russia and Mongolia fully affirmed the positive outcomes in China-Russia-Mongolia cooperation in recent years, and expressed readiness to further strengthen coordination to jointly push for more outcomes in trilateral cooperation. The three sides also exchanged views on key areas of cooperation in the next stage.
