Vice Foreign Minister Li Hui Meets with New Georgian Ambassador to China Sikharulidze

On April 29, 2009, Vice Foreign Minister Li Hui met with new Georgian Ambassador to China Karlo Sikharulidze.

Li said bilateral friendly cooperative relations have been developing smoothly, adding that China is ready to work with Georgia to earnestly implement the cooperation documents signed and consensus reached by both sides. He also urged both sides to strengthen friendly exchanges, expand pragmatic cooperation, promote people-to-people and cultural contacts and push China-Georgia relations for sustainable, healthy and stable development.

Sikharulidze said to develop ties with China is the priority and core factor of Georgia's foreign policy and the country will make all efforts to keep bilateral exchanges at all levels, expand pragmatic cooperation in all areas and continuously consolidate and develop friendly cooperative relations with China.
