On 14 February 2025, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane Dr RUAN Zongze visited Brisbane State High School, met with the Executive Principal Mr Greg Pierce and Chinese Student representative of the school.

Dr RUAN and Mr Pierce exchanged views on the educational collaborations between China and Australia, hoping to further promote exchanges between schools, teachers and students of the two sides in the future based on the relations between China and Queensland's sister states and Brisbane's sister cities in China.
