On March 26, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou attended at invitation the national day reception marking the 48th anniversary of the independence of the People's Republic of Bangladesh held by the Bangladeshi Embassy in China, and exchanged views with Bangladeshi Ambassador to China M Fazlul Karim on bilateral relations and issues of common concern.
