On March 28, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong attended the reception marking the 52nd anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence hosted by the Embassy of Bangladesh in China upon invitation. He also met with Bangladeshi Ambassador to China Md. Jashim Uddin. The two sides exchanged views on China-Bangladesh relations, among others.
