Vice Foreign Minister Luo Zhaohui Meets with Director General of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)

On December 3, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Luo Zhaohui met in Beijing with Director General of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), who was in China for the 13th round of China-DPRK consular consultation. Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Cui Aimin and others were present.

Luo Zhaohui said, this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and also the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the DPRK. Since last year, the top leaders of the two countries have held five meetings, reaching a series of important consensus and opening a new chapter in the bilateral friendship. It is hoped that the consular departments of both countries will make joint efforts to strengthen practical cooperation and enhance communication through the consular consultation platform to boost the development of bilateral relations.

The DPRK guest said, the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two countries is a valuable guide for the development of DPRK-China relations. The DPRK side is willing to work with the Chinese side to well implement the important instructions made by the top leaders of the two countries, continue to strengthen consular exchanges, promote bilateral personnel exchanges and make positive contributions to the development of DPRK-China relations.
