On July 25, 2023, with the great support of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs successfully organized the fifth event of serial events "Diplomatic Envoys' Visits to State-owned Enterprises", "a visit to China Railway Group Limited". Nearly 100 people from the embassies in China and agencies of international organizations in China were present at the event, including twelve ambassadors from such countries as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Lebanon, Somalia, Moldova, Switzerland, Samoa, and Suriname, twelve chargé d'affaires ad interim, and one representative of international organization in China.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Railway Group Limited (CREC) Chen Yun and President Chen Wenjian respectively introduced the commitment of CREC to promoting high-quality development and relevant situations of Belt and Road cooperation with each country.

Diplomatic envoys said that China has made remarkable achievements in the fields of infrastructure construction such as railway, highway, and rail transit, and expressed their hopes to deepen cooperation with China in relevant fields in the future and jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative. Diplomatic envoys also visited the exhibition hall of CREC.

Director-General of the Protocol Department of the Foreign Ministry Hong Lei, and Level I Bureau Rank Official of the Bureau of International Cooperation of SASAC Xu Aibo attended the event.
