Q: What is your comment on the Summit meeting between DPRK and ROK that starts from today?


A: The Korean Summit is the first ever meeting between the top leaders of the two sides since the North and South Koreas were divided more than fifty years ago. It is a good thing as well as a major event in the development of situation on the Korean Peninsula. The Chinese side expresses welcome and support. China hopes that the meeting will yield positive results and contribute to the further improvement of relations between the North and the South and to the maintenance of peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula.
