We are convinced that it will make valuable contribution to the maintenance of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. The Chinese side has heartily rejoiced over the success of the Summit and wishes to extend its congratulations on that. The Chinese side has always maintained that the reunification between the two sides on the Korean Peninsula should be achieved through dialogue and consultation between the parties concerned. We hope that the two sides will continue to enhance their mutual trust and strengthen their exchanges and cooperation in various fields in the spirit of reconciliation and cooperation so as to create favorable conditions for the final realization of an independent and peaceful reunification on the Peninsula.
