On October 11, 2022, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong met with Indian Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat. The two sides had a candid and friendly exchange of views on China-India relations, international and regional situations, and issues of mutual interest and concern. Liu Jinsong noted that recent time has seen fresh progress in people-to-people exchanges between the two countries despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. So far, more than 1,300 Indian students have obtained visas to China, and two batches of nearly 300 businessmen have flown to Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province, on chartered flights provided by Chinese airlines. Pradeep Kumar Rawat expressed appreciation of all this and wished the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China a success.
