On October 23, 2023, Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong met with outgoing Thai Ambassador to China Arthayudh Srisamoot.

Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong spoke positively of Arthayudh's efforts in promoting the development of China-Thailand relations during his tenure as Ambassador to China, and expressed the hope and belief that Arthayudh will continue to care for and support the cause of China-Thailand friendship.

Arthayudh thanked the Chinese side for the great support during his tenure in China, and said that he will make his own efforts to continue to deepen the relationship that "Thailand and China are as close as one family" after his return to Thailand.
