Tian Hongmao of Taiwan visited Thailand in the name of International Development and Cooperation Foundation of Taiwan not so long ago. What is your comment on it?

A: The Chinese side expressed its deep regret on the reception by the Thai side of Tian Hongmao?s visit to Thailand, and we have expounded our position over this to the Thai Government. The position held by the Chinese Government on the issue of Taiwan is consistent and clear-cut. We hope that all the countries having diplomatic relations with China would abide by the one China policy, not engage themselves in any official exchanges and contacts with Taiwan in any form or under whatever pretext and keep high alert on a variety of tricks and political plots of pragmatic diplomacy implemented by the Taiwan Authorities.
