On November 29, 2018, Director-General of the Department of Arms Control of the Foreign Ministry Fu Cong co-held a new round of consultation on arms control and nonproliferation with Deputy Director General for Strategic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Joshua Zarka of Israel in Beijing. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on the regional nuclear issue, a Middle East zone free of weapons of mass destruction, and the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, as well as other issues of common concern in the areas of international arms control, disarmament and nonproliferation.
