Chinese Citizens in Libya Evacuate in Order

Recently, the armed conflict in Libya has constantly escalated and area of the conflict continues to expand. The security situation in Libya rapidly deteriorates.

To guarantee the safety of Chinese citizens in Libya, Foreign Ministry and Chinese Embassy in Libya promptly launched emergency mechanism, precisely studied and judged the situation, timely issued safety alert warning Chinese citizens to evacuate the country immediately, and actively offered evacuation plans to assist Chinese citizens in evacuating. With the assistance of Chinese Embassy in Libya, a total of 222 Chinese citizens in Libya have evacuated the country in safety on July 31. Meanwhile Chinese Embassies in Tunisia and Greece provided positive assistance for personnel concerned in entering and stopping over in the countries. On August 1, according to relevant arrangement, about 500 Chinese citizens will complete evacuation.

Foreign Ministry once again warns Chinese citizens who are still in Libya to seize time and evacuate immediately.
