Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Central Africa Issues a Communiqué to Support China's Anti-Secession Law

On March 17, 2005, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and French-speaking Country Affairs of the Republic of Central Africa issued a communiqué on the Anti-Secession Law passed by the National People's Congress of China. The communiqué states that the government of the Republic of Central Africa pays high attention to the speech on the Taiwan issue delivered by Chinese President Hu Jintao on March 4, resolutely supports the Anti-Secession Law passed by the third session of the tenth National People's Congress of China and believes that the Law once again shows the will of the Chinese government to realize national reunification through peaceful means. The communiqué stresses that the government of the People's Republic of China is the sole representative of all the Chinese people and Taiwan is an inalienable part of the Chinese territory. The government of the Republic of Central Africa adheres to the one-China stance and the efforts made by the Chinese government towards reunification.
