Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Meets with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Cameroon

On October 12, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Cameroon, who is visiting China at the invitation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the NPC.

Zhai said that since the establishment of diplomatic ties 39 years ago, bilateral relations have been developing smoothly and can be said as the model of South-South cooperation and China-Africa cooperation. China is ready to take the opportunity of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries next year and join hands with Cameroon to upgrade bilateral ties to a new level.

The Cameroonian side noted recent years have witnessed frequent high-level exchanges and fruitful cooperation on economy, trade and education. Cameroon is satisfied with the development level of bilateral ties and hopes that more Chinese businesses will invest and develop in Cameroon. The chairman also congratulated China on the success of the Shanghai World Expo and the successful launch of China's 2nd lunar probe Chang'e-2.
