Assistant Foreign Minister Deng Li Meets with Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador of Cameroon to China

On October 26, 2020, Assistant Foreign Minister Deng Li met with Martin Mpana, Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps and Cameroonian Ambassador to China.

Deng Li said that China-Cameroon relations have been developing steadily in recent years with close high-level exchanges, fruitful cooperation in various fields and mutual understanding and support on issues concerning each other's core interests and major concerns. China is ready to take the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) as an opportunity to strengthen coordination and deepen cooperation with Cameroon and push for greater development of China-Cameroon and China-Africa relations.

Mpana appreciated China's achievements in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and its contribution to the world economic development. He said Cameroon attaches great importance to its relations with China and thanks China for its support in fighting the pandemic. Cameroon is ready to work with China to jointly safeguard multilateralism under the current situation, step up efforts to implement the outcomes of FOCAC and push China-Africa relations to a new level.
