On April 19, 2019, Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong met with outgoing Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to China Jean Charles Okoto Lolakombe. Chen Xiaodong spoke positively about Jean Charles Okoto Lolakombe's contributions to advancing the relations between China and the Democratic Republic of Congo during his term of office, and hoped that he will continue to care for and support the friendly cause between China and the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as between China and Africa.
