Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Meets with DRC's Minister of International and Regional Cooperation

On September 7, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met in the Foreign Ministry with a delegation headed by Raymond Tshibanda Mulongo, visiting Minister of International and Regional Cooperation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Zhai said that the Democratic Republic of the Congo is a country with traditional friendship with China. China-Congo friendly cooperative relations have shown a sound momentum of rapid development in recent years, with increasing political trust, vigorous economic and trade cooperation and expanding collaboration on culture, education and health. China is ready to work with the Congolese side to push bilateral cooperation for new outcomes.

Tshibanda said that Congo-China cooperation has achieved remarkable results. The Congolese side attaches importance to developing ties with China and hopes to enhance cooperation with China in the areas of human resources, education, healthcare and agriculture in a bid to make bilateral ties closer and full of vitality.
