On November 2, 2016, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) Zhang Dejiang met with President Alpha Condé of Guinea at the Great Hall of the People.

Zhang Dejiang said that China-Guinea relations have withstood the test of international vicissitude. The two sides have always understood and supported each other and become sincere friends and reliable cooperation partners. Under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Mr. President, the two sides should seize cooperation opportunities, firmly push forward friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, and promote the 10 major China-Africa cooperation plans to better benefit the two peoples. The NPC is willing to enhance friendly exchanges with National Assembly of Guinea at all levels, implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning in legislation, governance and administration of state affairs and other areas, improve the policy and legal environment for mutually beneficial cooperation, push forward the smooth development of cooperation in various fields between China and Guinea, and advance the continuous and in-depth development of China-Guinea friendly relations.

Alpha Condé stated that he is willing to take this visit as an opportunity to learn from China's development experience, strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields and promote the development of the friendly relations between the two countries.
