Representative of Foreign Minister and Director-General of Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Lin Songtian Visits Guinea-Bissau

From March 3 to 5, 2017, Representative of Foreign Minister and Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Lin Songtian visited Guinea-Bissau. Lin Songtian paid courtesy calls to President José Mário Vaz, Prime Minister Umaro Sissoco Embalo, First Vice President of the National People’s Assembly Antonio Inacio Correia, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities Jorge Malú of Guinea-Bissau as well as leaders from main political parties in Guinea Bissau respectively. Both sides fully exchanged views on the implementation of outcomes of the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, comprehensively deepening bilateral friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, party-to-party communication and cooperation, international and regional topics of common concern and other topics, reaching extensive consensus. H.E. Wang Hua, Chinese Ambassador to Guinea-Bissau, accompanied Lin Songtian and attended relevant events.

 

During the visit, Lin Songtian and his delegation also inspected the Bandim Fishing Port, the National Stadium as well as Chinese medical team’s resident in Guinea-Bissau respectively, hold discussions with relevant Chinese enterprises and foreign aid experts, and gave an interview to the Guinea-Bissau National Radio and Television and other media.
