President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping recently announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

1. Nong Rong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, replacing Yao Jing.

2. Qi Zhenhong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, replacing Cheng Xueyuan.

3. Liu Shaobin was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Turkey, replacing Deng Li.

4. Zhao Zhiyuan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, replacing Tan Jian.

5. Guo Xiaomei (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Madagascar, replacing Yang Xiaorong (female).

6. Xu Yingzhen (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, replacing Wang Wei.

7. Guo Ce was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, replacing Jin Hongjun.

8. Xie Xiaoyong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus, replacing Cui Qiming.

9. Fan Yong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia, replacing Tian Erlong.

10. Qi Dayu was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Hungary, replacing Duan Jielong.

11. Liu Yantao was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Cyprus, replacing Huang Xingyuan.

12. Fang Qiu was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, replacing Song Yumin.
