On July 31, 2015, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming met with outgoing Mozambican Ambassador to China Antonio Inacio Junior.

Zhang Ming spoke highly of Antonio Inacio Junior’s contributions to the promotion of China-Mozambique relations especially the friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries during his tenure as Mozambican Ambassador to China and hoped that he would continue caring for and supporting the China-Mozambique friendship cause. Zhang Ming stressed that China cherishes the traditional friendship between China and Mozambique and is willing to take the opportunity of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries to push for greater development in bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields. Antonio Inacio Junior thanked China for the strong support during his tenure and expressed that Mozambique pays high attention to developing its relations with China and he himself will continue making due contributions to the promotion of Mozambique-China friendship.
