Li Keqiang Meets with President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi of Mozambique

On the afternoon of May 19, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang met at the Great Hall of the People with President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi of Mozambique, who was paying a state visit to China.

Li Keqiang expressed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mozambique, bilateral relations have enjoyed healthy and steady development. Li Keqiang pointed out that the practical cooperation between China and Mozambique enjoys a sound foundation and strong complementarity. China supports its enterprises to, in accordance with market principles, participate in cooperation in such fields as infrastructure construction and energy resources in Mozambique. China also stands ready to actively carry out cooperation in international production capacity with Mozambique, so as to better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Filipe Jacinto Nyusi expressed that the two peoples enjoy profound friendship and the friendly partnership between the two countries has been constantly deepened. Mozambique is grateful to China's long-term support and assistance for the national independence and economic and social development of Mozambique. Mozambique is ready to strengthen practical cooperation with China in production capacity, energy and mining, agriculture, tourism and other areas within bilateral frameworks and other frameworks including Forum on Africa-China Cooperation.
