On October 9, 2017, Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong attended at invitation the reception marking the 55th anniversary of the independence of Uganda held by the Ugandan Embassy in China, during which he exchanged views with Ugandan Ambassador to China Crispus Kiyonga on bilateral relations.
