On November 28, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Xie Hangsheng was invited to attend Albania's National Day reception held by Albania's Ambassador to China Kujtim Xhani.

Xie congratulated on Albania's 100th anniversary of independence and made positive comments on bilateral ties, emphasizing that China is ready to work with Albania to consolidate traditional friendship, expand pragmatic cooperation and push forward bilateral ties.

Xhani said Albania and China enjoy a profound traditional friendship. The Albanian side is satisfied with the sound development momentum of bilateral relations, and has confidence in a bright future of the relations between the two countries.
