Vice Chairman Zhang Siqing of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Attends the Reception on the 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Ties between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina

On April 1, 2005, Bosnia and Herzegovina Embassy in China held the reception to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina. About 200 delegates including Vice Chairman Zhang Siqing of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry official Qiao Zonghuai and foreign diplomats to China attended the reception. Zhang Siqing and Bosnia and Herzegovina ambassador to China Maric delivered a speech respectively.

Zhang pointed out that the Chinese people and the Bosnia and Herzegovina people enjoy a tradition of profound friendship. Over the 10 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, the bilateral relations have been developing steadily. China expects to work with Bosnia and Herzegovina to push forward the all-round development of bilateral ties in the principle of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit. Ambassador Maric made highly positive remarks on the development of bilateral ties over the past 10 years and extended appreciation to the Chinese government for respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He reiterated that the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina would continue to adhere to the one-China policy and support China on its peaceful reunification.
