Xi Jinping Accepts Credentials from Seven New Ambassadors to China

On July 8, 2014, President Xi Jinping accepted credentials presented by the newly-appointed ambassadors to China from seven countries at the Great Hall of the People. The ambassadors were: Bahrain's Ambassador to China Anwar Yusuf Alabdulla, Ambassador of Cyprus to China Agis Loizou, Rwandan Ambassador to China Charles Kayonga, Hungarian Ambassador to China Andrea Cecilia Szilas, Ambassador of Myanmar Thit Linn Ohn, Macedonian Ambassador to China Ilija Isajlovski and Ghana's Ambassador to China Anani O. Demuyakor.

Xi Jinping welcomed the ambassadors to assume their new posts in China and asked them to convey his sincere greetings and good wishes to their leaders and people. Xi Jinping stressed that China is willing to develop relationship with the countries concerned in accordance with the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, to support each other, cement friendship and boost cooperation in pursuit of common prosperity. The Chinese government will provide facilitation and support for the ambassadors in fulfilling their missions and hopes the ambassadors to make new contributions to the friendly cooperation between China and respective countries.

The ambassadors conveyed warm greetings from their state leaders to Xi Jinping and the good wishes to the Chinese people, wishing China gain greater achievements in development. They expressed that they are honored to be ambassadors to China at this point and will be actively committed to promoting friendship and cooperation with the country.
