Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev of Macedonia

On the afternoon of November 4, 2016 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met at the hotel where he stayed in Riga with Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev of Macedonia.

Li Keqiang said that China-Macedonia friendly cooperative relationship enjoys smooth progress and broad prospects. China encourages Chinese enterprises to participate in the construction of highway, railway and other infrastructure in Macedonia. It is hoped that both sides could enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges, deepen cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine and other areas and strengthen cooperation in finance, so as to enable more extensive and in-depth development of China-Macedonia cooperation as well as better benefit the two peoples.

Emil Dimitriev said that Macedonia and China maintain sound political relations, and bilateral cooperation in economy and trade has boosted Macedonia's economic development. The Macedonian side is willing to work with China to reinforce mutually beneficial cooperation and expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges. Macedonia welcomes more Chinese enterprises to increase investment and cooperation in its infrastructure construction and other fields.
