From October 13 to 14, 2017, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao visited Macedonia, during which he respectively met with President Gjorge Ivanov of Macedonia, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev of Macedonia, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov of Macedonia, and held the political consultation between the two Foreign Ministries with Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Viktor Dimovski of Macedonia. The two sides made in-depth exchanges of views on China-Macedonia relations, the building of the Belt and Road Initiative, cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries and international and regional issues of common concern.
