On March 22, 2018, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao and Under-secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Levente Benkő of Hungary, Director General of the Political Directorate General of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Marián Jakubócy of Slovak, Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs David Konecký of the Czech Republic and Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cyryl Kozaczewski of Poland held in Beijing the first vice foreign ministerial level consultation between China and the Visegrad Group (V4). Both sides mainly exchanged views on China-V4 relations, China-Europe relations, international and regional issues of common concern and other topics.
