In the morning of December 16 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met in Belgrade with Prime Minister Victor-Viorel Ponta of Romania.

Li Keqiang expressed that China and Romania are now comprehensively advancing a series of cooperation projects agreed by both sides during Mr. Prime Minister's visit in China this September. It is hoped that both sides could speed up cooperation in nuclear power, thermal power and other energy projects and expand cooperation in infrastructure, and that Romania and Moldova could discuss the Romania-Moldova high-speed railway project as early as possible and carry out joint research with China.

Li Keqiang noted that Romania was the host country for the Summit between China and the Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) in Bucharest and made important contribution to deepening China-CEEC cooperation. The Bucharest Outline is now under smooth implementation. China supports establishing an executing agency of China-CEEC joint association on energy cooperation in Romania, pushing for constant development of bilateral cooperation in all areas.

Victor-Viorel Ponta expressed that Romania and China are reliable friends and partners. Romania highly appreciates China's policy and measures for boosting cooperation with the CEEC, and is willing to intensify cooperation in such fields as nuclear power, thermal power, high-speed railway, aviation, agriculture and people-to-people and cultural engagement, thus to push bilateral relations and CEEC-China cooperation for in-depth development.
