On December 7, 2017, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Guo Shaochun and General Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Stănescu of Romania held the fourth round of China-Romania consular consultation in Beijing. Both sides spoke positively of the consular relations and cooperation between the two countries, and mainly exchanged in-depth views on simplifying visa interviews and fingerprinting requirements, issuing multiple-entry visas valid for years, mutual exemption of consular authentication, safeguarding the safety and the rights and interests of citizens, as well as other topics.
