On October 28, 2019, Vice Foreign Minister Qin Gang met at request with Monica Gheorghita, Secretary of State for Global Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania and Romania's National Coordinator for Cooperation Between China and Central and Eastern European Countries ("17+1 cooperation"). Both sides exchanged views on China-Romania relations, "17+1 cooperation" and topics of common interest.
