We are deeply concerned with the present situation in Yugoslavia. We urge the people of all ethnic groups and all political forces in Yugoslavia to set great store by the fundamental interests of the country and the people and properly handle the present situation by peaceful means so as to avoid armed conflicts and realize the stability of the country. China has always adhered to the principle of non-interference in other countries' internal affairs and respects the choice of the people of Yugoslavia. China believes that the Yugoslavian people are fully capable of solving the problems that they face without external interference.
