Li Yuanchao Meets with Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini of Finland

On February 28, 2017, Vice President Li Yuanchao met with Minister for Foreign Affairs Timo Soini of Finland in Beijing.

Li Yuanchao said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Finland 67 years ago, bilateral relations have always enjoyed stable development. It is hoped that both sides could actively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state on building and advancing the new type of China-Finland future-oriented cooperative partnership, consolidate the political basis of bilateral relations, integrate development strategies, expand practical cooperation, push forward people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and strengthen communication and coordination in international affairs, so as to better benefit the two peoples.

Timo Soini expressed that Finland highly values its relations with China. Over the past several decades, bilateral friendly cooperation in various fields has been expanded continuously. Finland is willing to make joint efforts with China to push Finland-China relations for constant development.
