From February 17 to 18, 2023, Special Representative Wu Hongbo of the Chinese Government on European Affairs paid a visit to Finland. He met respectively with Permanent State Secretary Jukka Salovaara and Director General of the Department for the Americas and Asia Jari Sinkari of the Finnish Foreign Ministry.

The two sides exchanged views mainly on China-Finland relations, strengthening exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and international and regional issues of mutual interest and concern. Both sides spoke highly of the sound and stable development momentum of China-Finland relations under the guidance of head-of-state diplomacy, and agreed that the two countries should work for closer personnel exchanges, and further practical cooperation in various fields based on the principle of equality, mutual benefit and win-win results.
