On December 1, 2016, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Haixing and Assistant Secretary-General and Director of the Political Division of Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Barrie Robinson of Ireland held political consultation between the two Foreign Ministries in Beijing. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Ireland relations, China-EU relations and international issues of common interests.
