On July 30, 2020, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu and Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Martha Delgado Peralta of Mexico co-held via videolink China-Mexico consultation on multilateral affairs.

Ma Zhaoxu said, China and Mexico are both major developing countries and emerging markets. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Mexican side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, further strengthen coordination and communication within multilateral organizations including the United Nations (UN) and the G20, jointly safeguard multilateralism, and reinforce international cooperation in fighting the COVID-19, in a bid to promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Martha Delgado Peralta said, the Mexican side cherishes Mexico-China comprehensive strategic partnership, and thanks the Chinese side for the support and assistance to Mexico in its fight against the COVID-19. The Mexican side is willing to continue to enhance multilateral cooperation with the Chinese side and support the UN in giving play its core role to boost the sustainable development of the world.
