On October 12, 2023, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs Wu Hongbo attended upon invitation the National Day reception held by the Embassy of Spain in China. Special Representative Wu Hongbo extended congratulations on Spain's National Day, and had an exchange of views with Ambassador of Spain to China Rafael Dezcallar de Mazarredo on China-Spain relations and China-EU relations, among others.
