2013-10-29 10:01

On Oct. 28, 2013, San Marino's Captains Regent Gian Carlo Capicchioni and Annamaria Muccioli met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Palazzo Pubblico.

Gian Carlo Capicchioni and Annamaria Muccioli said that although the two countries have different national conditions, both sides have always respected each other, treated each other on an equal footing, and established solid relations of common development and mutual trust. China is one of the most influential countries in the world, and San Marino admires the astonishing achievements of the Chinese economy, fully recognizes China's outstanding achievements in political reform, legal system construction, respect for human rights, market liberalization, and other aspects, and is willing to maintain traditional friendship with China, to expand bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation, and to push bilateral ties to continue to move forward.

Wang Yi said that I came to San Marino during my first trip to Europe, reflecting that China insists on its diplomatic tradition that all nations, big or small, are equal. For the 42 years since China and San Marino established diplomatic relations, both countries have developed into a model of friendly relations between a big country and a small country, and both sides should make joint efforts to promote exchanges among personnel from all walks of life, to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas, and to continue to maintain and strengthen coordination and cooperation in international affairs.
