Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao Visits Barbados to Chair the 6th Round of Consultations Between Foreign Ministries of China and Caribbean Countries in Diplomatic Relations with China

On March 22, 2016, the 6th round of consultations between Foreign Ministries of China and 9 Caribbean countries that have established diplomatic relations with China was held in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados. These countries include Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago. Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao co-chaired the consultations with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Maxine McClean of Barbados. The two sides spoke positively of the development achievements in friendly relations between China and the Caribbean countries in recent years, and reached extensive consensus on further strengthening bilateral friendly cooperation in fields such as politics, economy and trade, people-to-people and cultural exchanges and international affairs. After the consultations, the two sides issued the Joint Press Communiqué on the 6th Round of Consultations Between Foreign Ministries of China and Caribbean Countries in Diplomatic Relations with China.
