On December 13th, Chinese Ambassador to Barbados, H. E. Mr. Xu Hong was invited to watch a netball game and a night cricket match, and to present the prize to the winners. This is one of the activities to celebrate the Tourism Week 2012.

During the matches, Ambassador Xu communicated with the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Richard Sealy, the president of the netball association and the coaches and players of the teams. Mr. Sealy expressed that tourism was the pillar of the economy of Barbados. He hoped China and Barbados could enhance the cooperation on tourism, and more Chinese people could tour to Barbados. Ambassador Xu indicated that Barbados was a world famous tourist resort with unique, rich and varied tourism resources, and China was willing to make joint effort with Barbados to promoting the cooperation on tourism.

The activities to celebrate the Tourism Week started from December 9th. Ambassador Xu and other officials of Embassy attended these activities.
