On June 22, 2016, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao met with the outgoing Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago to China Chandradath Singh.

Wang Chao spoke positively of Chandradath Singh's contributions to promoting the development of bilateral relations during his tenure as the first Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago to China, hoping that he will continue to play a positive role in the development of bilateral relations.

Chandradath Singh appreciated China's assistance and support during his tenure, and expressed that the government of Trinidad and Tobago attaches great importance to developing relationship with China. He himself will be continuously committed to promoting communication and cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
