From March 24 to March 26, 2016, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao visited Grenada, during which he held talks with Foreign Minister Clarice Modeste–Curwen of Grenada, and respectively visited Governor General Cécile La Grenade as well as Prime Minister Keith Mitchell of Grenada, exchanging in-depth views on bilateral relations as well as international and regional affairs of common concern.

During the visit, Wang Chao also investigated the Grenada National Stadium aided by China, low-income housing and other projects. Wang Chao also signed the Treaty on Criminal Judicial Assistance and Extradition Treaty between the two countries with Clarice Modeste–Curwen.
