Yang Jiechi conveyed the sincere greetings of President Xi Jinping to Donald Trump.

Yang Jiechi expressed that during Mr. President's visit to China last November, President Xi Jinping and Mr. President reached important consensus and addressed that China and the US share extensive common interests and significant responsibilities in safeguarding world peace, stability and prosperity. The direction of China-US relations has important global influence. The constant development of China-US relations not only conforms to the fundamental interests of the two peoples, but also is the common expectation of the international community. The US-China relations are of great significance. He agreed that both sides should well implement the consensus and results of the meeting between President Xi Jinping and him in Beijing. The US stands ready to strengthen cooperation with China to promote bilateral relations for more positive progress.
