On March 30, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li met with visiting General Secretary of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front Ahmed Majdalani.

Deng Li welcomed Ahmed Majdalani’s visit to China and said that China and Palestine are good brothers and good partners, and China firmly supports the Palestinian people’s just cause to restore legitimate national rights, and always stands together with the Palestinian people. China will, as always, provide Palestine with humanitarian and development assistance, continue to uphold fairness and justice on international occasions, speak up for Palestine, and make relentless efforts to promote the proper settlement of the Palestinian question at an early date.

Ahmed Majdalani highly appreciated China for upholding a just position and playing an important role on the Palestinian question, thanked China for firmly supporting the Palestinian people’s just cause and providing Palestine with long-term and precious support and help, and expressed his hope that China will play a bigger role in international and regional affairs to promote world peace, stability and development.
