On August 18, 2016, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming met with outgoing Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Mohammad Saleh Althuwaikh.

Zhang Ming made positive comments on Mohammad Saleh Althuwaikh's contribution to the development of bilateral friendly relations during his tenure and hoped that he will keep caring for and supporting China-Kuwait relations in the future. Mohammad Saleh Althuwaikh appreciated China's precious support for his fulfillment of duties in China and noted that he will commit himself to promoting Kuwait-China friendship as always.
