From May 11 to 12, 2015, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on African Affairs Zhong Jianhua met in Juba, capital of South Sudan respectively with President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Foreign Minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin, Envoys of the Troika countries (the US, the UK and Norway) on the South Sudanese issue, Acting Head Moustapha Soumaré of the United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) and others. He exchanged in-depth views with them on topics including China-South Sudan relations and the peace process in South Sudan. Ma Qiang, Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan, attended the above meetings.
